Between 990 and 1,025 square feet, so close to double the one bedroom. Two separate bedrooms with doors that close, a living room big enough that people are not sitting on top of each other, a dining area, and a kitchen built for cooking real meals rather than reheating them.
Both bedrooms are furnished the same way as the one bedroom: queen bed, dresser and mirror, nightstands and lamps. The living room has a sectional, a recliner, a coffee table and a television. The kitchen has an electric range, a full size refrigerator and a dishwasher, with pots, pans, knives, forks and plates already in the cabinets. Washer and dryer in the unit.
The dining area is the part people underestimate. Over a long stay, having somewhere to sit down and eat that is not the sofa is what makes an apartment feel like somewhere you live rather than somewhere you are waiting.
Electricity, water, cable TV and internet are on before arrival and billed to us on the same invoice as the rent.
$2,700 a month, all utilities included
Split between two colleagues that is about $45 each per day, utilities and laundry and a kitchen included. Two hotel rooms for the same month would cost considerably more and neither of them would have a stove. That is the case where the two bedroom stops being a comfort upgrade and starts being the cheaper option.
For a family it is a different calculation. If you are between a closing date and a move in date, or waiting out a renovation, or your home is being repaired on an insurance claim, the question is not really cost per night. It is whether everyone can live somewhere for two months without getting on each other's nerves. Two bedrooms and a dining table go a long way toward that.
Families between homes, mostly. A closing that slipped, a build that ran past schedule, a kitchen renovation that turned into a whole floor. Insurance displacement guests whose houses are being repaired make up a steady share too, and for those stays the adjuster is often the one arranging it. Our page for insurance displacement housing covers how that works.
The rest are work stays that need more than one bedroom. Two colleagues on the same project who would rather not share a room. A relocating employee bringing a spouse while they figure out which part of the Upstate to buy in. A traveling nurse whose partner came along for the contract.
If you are on your own, the furnished one bedroom apartments cost $500 less a month and have the same kitchen, the same laundry and the same everything else.
100 Garden District Dr in Simpsonville, SC 29681. Everything we rent is in this one community, which is why the units are consistent and why there is one manager, Lori, who knows all of them. Maintenance is on site.
Thirty days is the minimum. The standard lease runs 90 days and can be released at 30 if your situation changes, and six month or annual terms are there if you want them. Extending is a phone call rather than a new application, which matters when a repair or a build runs past its estimate. A few more questions about our furnished apartments are answered on the FAQ page.
