Both are monthly, and both include electricity, water, cable TV and internet. They also cover the furniture, a kitchen stocked down to the knives and plates, and a washer and dryer inside the apartment. The number you are quoted is the number you pay, with no second bill arriving in month two.
A furnished one bedroom apartment runs 525 to 772 square feet. A furnished two bedroom apartment runs 990 to 1,025. Those are the only two layouts we keep.
Thirty days is the minimum. Anything shorter and you want a hotel, honestly, because the paperwork is not worth it for a week.
The standard agreement runs 90 days, which is how South Carolina treats a residential lease rather than a hotel stay. We can release you at 30 if plans change, and six month or annual terms are there when a contract or a build justifies them.
Extending is a phone call, not a new application. That matters more than people expect. Projects slip, 13 week contracts turn into 26, and repairs run past their estimate. Nobody should have to repack a truck because a lease was written for the optimistic version of the schedule.
For a few nights, no. Book the hotel. Past about a month the comparison turns, and not mainly on the nightly rate.
A one bedroom here works out near $72 a day with every utility included, which lands in the same range as extended stay rooms around Greenville on weekly rates. Roughly the same money. What differs is what it buys. A hotel gives you a microwave, a bar fridge and a bed you also sit on. This gives you a range, a full size refrigerator, a dishwasher, a living room, and a bedroom with a door that closes.
The cost that gets left out is food. Three bought meals a day across a three month assignment is a real number and it never shows up on the housing line of anyone's budget. Being able to cook two of them at home is usually where the saving actually lives, along with not giving up a Saturday morning to a laundromat.
